Cali At FEI levels you are not allowed to whip the horse over a refusal, only an encouragement to go forward if they are already moving forward and not stopped. Please educate yourself on the rules if you are going to comment on them
Morning Glory Farms
if you were truly against it then you wouldnt ride period. theres no way to "be against it" and still do it
Jericho Stables
Anything you do with a horse can lead to risk or injury. I’ve seen plenty of freak accidents happen not in a show ring
Calela Eventing
Fern Yeah but I mean if they refuse a jump or are about to but the pain response kicks in and they risk their life to avoid being whipped out of fear. That’s what I mean
The Old Gods
It depends on the horse, but generally, no. You can't. Even if there's pain and punishment. If anything, that will just cause the horse to lash out.
RFS Thoroughbreds
cali or if it's something they're scared of like an obstacle for trail or something you can use positive reinforcements and they'll also do it?
Calela Eventing
Jeri No, it doesn’t. I don’t agree with competitive shows or any shows at high levels

The Joker

Calela Eventing
Trish Oh I know, I’m honestly quite against a lot of horse riding. Obviously I have my own and never jump him high or do serious dressage or any of the sort because of how it could damage his legs or make things harder in the long run.
KPH Equestrian
I dont remember the name but yeah lol. Pathetic to be honest xD
Serene Stables
Dino, Everything at a professional level, for sure. At lower levels where it's just fun, I think a lot of the animals enjoy it
