Honestly if she’s with you 24/7 she may develop separation anxiety which will cause real issues for both you and the dog. She may need her own space to learn to somewhat be on her own and cope for a few hours on her own

she might also be starting to get separation anxiety, which is another good reason to work with being able to leave her alone

Last night, I went to go get dinner, and left my pup in my room. Mind you, door was open, she had food, water, a clean puppy pad, etc. I wasn't gone a minute, she starts howling and barking. My dad started yelling at ME, just because I left her in there. Well, sorry I went to get food!

I've seen pretty decent crates (they may need cleaning) at second stores for pretty affordable prices.

Use a leash and tying the dog to a safe anchor point
I will give them a bed to learn to chill and then let them sort it out and when the chill they get rewarded

we had to deal with our boy as a pup with leash training, where he would literally throw screaming tantrums if he didn't get to go where he wanted lol as in, neighbors would be looking out their doors to see if we were killing him XD

you have to be patient and firm

Definitely look into distraction balls. Work with different treats… she may just be fussy with treats. How long have you had her?
The Undercity
06:37:26 Dory
What puck said. It could also be she is under stimulated I have always had active dog breeds and if you give them a job it is better for them in the long run

Puck

I got her trained to sit, for the most part. I'm trying to do baby steps, easy training, with treats as a reward if she does it.

What's tethering?

Greek, the next time your father yells at you. Tell him to step in and take over. This may sound rude but HE is gonna make it very difficult for this dog to learn properly.
The Old Gods

that's the dumbest thing I've heard. If that's the case, routine health needs, i.e baths or nail trimming is "abuse"

Crates can be found used for far cheaper than that. Animal shelters may also have some donated that they are open to selling.

Sounds like she's understimulated. Training sessions (sit, stay, etc) will help give her something to focus on, long walks will tire her out, etc. Treat the problem not the symptom
The Feral Equine

Have you tried tethering? If you wont crate that's the next best short term option

We've always used what we call, the momma method or correcting.
What would their mom do ?
Moms grab them by the muzzle and growl. Letting the pup know, in their language, what they just did, is a no no.
Works terrific.

I literally ask people in person, online, and so forth, and they all basically told me, "Physically touching your dog is abusive, unless it's for rewarding."

Dory

Literally! I leave her on the leash (while watching her, for leash training), she whines and howls, when it's not even touching her body-- my dad yells at me. I scold her? Dad yells at me.

Greek - dogs learn from other dogs via ‘telling offs’ which can include a bit of roughness. A tap on the noise is most definitely not abusive. She will not fear you or get hurt from a tap on the nose

talk to your dad, then. everyone has to be on the same page for training, because otherwise it's impossible. she's just a very young pup, working with her now to stop these behaviors is extremely important, because once they get ingrained as a habit it's harder to correct. she HAS to be ignored for whining or barking. work with baby steps, a moment of quiet gets attention. any barking? no more attention
The Old Gods

crate is just a catch all term for anything the dog can be locked in. Kitty's crate was just an old cage with a pillow and blankets

Honestly if she does it the next best thing is to possibly stand up and avoid her. Walk around the room until she gives up and realises you’re not gonna bother with her. Every time she gets rough, get up, ignore her and wait for her to give in
